Committee Mission

The Research Committee's primary goal is to help child support practitioners and administrators identify and facilitate timely research and to disseminate research findings that may help direct policy decisions and improve operations at levels of the child support program.

What's New

The CSDA Research Committee will be holding its first Best Practices Forum on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the CSAC Conference Room in Sacramento.

The purpose of this forum is to discuss research concepts and approaches and provide a venue to discuss current, on-going, or proposed program improvement initiatives. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and determine how best to quantify their initiative using data analysis. For more information, about the training, download the agenda and draft power point which provides in greater detail the concepts we will be discussing.

CSDA maintains an archive of research that contains policy and research papers published by our external stakeholders, performance tracking and budget related issues. Click on the link to access our research archive.

The "Early Intervention - Demonstrating Value" was presented with an intention to provide additional resources to counties who must develop Early Intervention Strategies and Programs for the next fiscal year. Please visit the CSDA Best Practices page for more information about these Early Intervention Programs.

Findings from research are also republished in the form of fact sheets. These fact sheets are disseminated to our customers and external stakeholders to educate them about the child support program. The fact sheets are available for download and we encourage you to check back regularly as new ones are published throughout the year.
