Committee Mission
The Research Committee's primary goal is to help child support practitioners and administrators identify and facilitate timely research and to disseminate research findings that may help direct policy decisions and improve operations at levels of the child support program.

What's New
During the CSDA Annual Conference in October, the CSDA Research Committee was in the Exhibit Hall presenting data gathered from the CSDA Research Archive and talking about the work the committee engages in. Highlights of the data was organized according to topic and concisely presented in a power point titled "CSDA Research Committee Presents Child Support Research Findings Nationwide". For more information about this power point, please contact Mark Takayesu.
Do you have a research question? Do you have previous experience in research and/or statistical analysis and willing to provide time and input to the committee as a member? If so, please contact Stephen Kennedy, Chair or telephone: 831.755.3292.
The Committee is looking at a possible research project that expands on previous research with regard to comparing California's child support performance with other states. Click on the link for more information about this project.

Link & Resources
CSDA maintains an archive of research that contains policy and research papers published by our external stakeholders, performance tracking and budget related issues. Click on the link to access our research archive.
The "Early Intervention - Demonstrating Value" was presented with an intention to provide additional resources to counties who must develop Early Intervention Strategies and Programs for the next fiscal year. Please visit the CSDA Best Practices page for more information about these Early Intervention Programs.
Findings from research are also republished in the form of fact sheets. These fact sheets are disseminated to our customers and external stakeholders to educate them about the child support program. The fact sheets are available for download and we encourage you to check back regularly as new ones are published throughout the year.
