Legal Practices Committee
Chairs: Tuolumne County DCSS Director Adele Hendrickson.
Mission
To promote uniformity of legal practices throughout the local child support agencies (LCSAs) and the Courts, to make available a forum for discussion and resolution of issues in the LCSA Legal Community, and to provide legal support for our State’s automation efforts, resulting in uniform practices and improved relationships with the Courts and case participants to the benefit of the child support program.

Objectives
The Legal Practices committee has the following objectives:
- Identify and comment on automation issues that will impact legal practices in the child support enforcement program.
- Identify and encourage the adoption of uniform legal best practices.
- Facilitate statewide communication to LCSAs and the courts regarding legal best practices.
- Serve on the CSDA Automation Committee to provide input on legal practice issues.
- Identify training needs for LCSA attorney staff regarding legal practice issues.
- Provide a forum for discussion and resolution of issues in the LCSA legal community.

The Legal Practices committee includes representatives from the State Department of Child Support Services, the Administrative Office of the Courts, the CSDA Executive Director and local child support agency (LCSA) attorneys and directors.
