2012-13 State Budget

The Governor has released Trailer Bill Language that will accompany the budget package. There are four trailer bills that impact child support. They are:

The subcommittee process is underway to review the 2012-2013 proposed state budget. The Assembly Budget Committee published a
review of the budget which includes their thoughts on the
Child Support Program. The committee commends the program for increasing collections during the "Great Recession" and notes that the Revenue Stabilization Funding was an effective investment that aided in this improvement.
Additionally, State Controller John Chaing
released a letter to the Legislature warning of a cash crisis beginning in late February if the Legislature does not give the Controller the discretion to manage the state's finances.
